The Johnson County Old Settlers celebration will be held September 10-12, 2009.  The Old Settlers Parade is the largest parade in the state of Kansas. It has an average of 160 entries and is attended by between 65,000 and 75,000 people.

Do you have pictures?
If you have pictures of the Cub Scouts during the parade and are willing to have them on the web site, please send copies to webmaster@pack3281.org.

Contact Your Den Leaders!
Please contact your Den Leader via e-mail or phone prior to Saturday morning to let them know if your Scout will be attending.  This way we will know if we are missing anyone prior to the start of the parade.

Float Information
The Scouts will be riding on a float which has been built for our Pack.  Our float number is 105 and we will be gathering in the "Division 5" staging area on Elm Street,  east of Kansas Avenue. See the parade route map below to loacate the staging area.  Take a look at our float being built: Picture 1 or Picture 2

Pre-Parade Meeting Location
The parade starts at 10:00 AM and the Scouts must be at the float no later than 9:00 AM.  Chuck Shinski is planning on bringing the float up to the staging area around 8:30 AM for those who want to be there early.

Parade Attire
Please have the Scouts wear their uniforms -- including shirt, neckerchief, and slide -- for the parade.
